"Okay." Kol says, not one to ignore loud warnings yelled at him by mysterious voices.
"Could you uh. Fill me in on what's going on? Where am I? Because I think Braeg just banished me here for having the gall to tell him murder is bad."
Those darn villains, getting mad when you insist that murder is in fact bad.
Hopefully there's more air in here than it seems because Kol really doesn't want to think he's working with a time limit and he is not the son of the Maesdan god who could solve that problem.
He checks his phone to see if he has reception. He doesn't, but he really ought to check because man he would feel silly if he didn't and he ended up being able to just call for help the whole time.
...Huh.
That's a bar on his phone.
A... singular bar.
Implying that wherever he is, there's still cell service. He's just not in a particularly good spot for it. Maybe he lucked out and Braeg sort of forgot phones were a thing?
...It doesn't solve his problem on its own, of course. But it's another tool he has on his belt. Potentially useful.
"...Lord Braeg. Of course it's Lord Braeg. I'm down here for Absum only knows how long and my first contact is brought in by the devil himself."
There's a brief moment of silence, then,
"Sorry. That would make you an innocent in all of this. My name is Lord Arvin. And you're somewhere underneath a town called Hallower's Rest, stranger. On the other side of that door, somewhere, there's a monster that could be mistaken for a hill, with an appetite matched only by the old dragons. If you open that door, it'll sniff us out and devour us both. I can't risk that happening. Please, stay in here where it is safe."
[Hallway - Aiko's Locker]
clunk!
Aikobaz replaces the lock on her locker and starts down the hall, hugging her books to her chest. She passes most students in the halls without comment, other than a snide sneer at the occasional giggle directed her way; apparently, her rejection by "buggy Betty" had yet to be completely forgotten.
